Feast of Hope began in 2010. It was started out of the necessity of resources for many of the homeless and low-income people in our area who had very little. Knowing our community is full of compassionate people willing to serve those in need, we decided to create an opportunity for those in need and those wanting to help to come together.
Out of the abundance of support from the community, we are able to offer a second event, formerly called Triage, but now called Community Resource Day. This event is similar to Feast of Hope, but includes more resources from other organizations such as MHMR, Workforce, Legal Aid and Housing.Community Resource Day is every 3rd Tuesday of the month. See below for our current schedules.
Thanks to the individuals and organizations who joined us, we quickly grew to being able to offer all sorts of resources including prayer, medical check ups, eye exams, haircuts and much more. To make access to resources as easy as possible for those in the most need, we gather at Feed My Sheep. Our event, Feast of Hope, is the namesake of our organization, highlighting the hope that can be had not only in a community helping their neighbors, but more importantly in Jesus. Feast of Hope is held every 5th Saturday of any given month from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
